Appointments are now available  within   our  Dewsbury  clinic  or  if  preferred in  the  comfort  of  your  home,  work  place,  sports club  or  gym  using our  unique  mobile physiotherapy service

Richard Walker BSc (Hons) PG Cert MCSP HPC- Clinical Director.

Richard graduated from The University of Salford in 2002 with an honours degree in Physiotherapy and in 2010 gained a Post Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Practice from The University of Bradford.

Richard’s interest in physiotherapy began in 1998 after having had a professional football career with Huddersfield Town AFC cut short due to a serious knee injury.  

Since graduating, Richard has worked extensively within the NHS and private practice specialising in musculoskeletal injuries. Completion of a Post Graduate Certificate at The University of Bradford in 2010 has led his further interest in the assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal shoulder pain and spinal conditions.

Richard developed a particular interest of sporting injuries whilst working for Sheffield Wednesday Football Club before setting up his own private practice.   He is passionate about finding solutions to any conditions that are presented to him using various different techniques. Away from clinical work, Richard is a keen road bike racer competing across Yorkshire and beyond.   Due to his knowledge of the stresses of professional sport Richard is ideally placed to treat athletes from amateur to elite level and has national and international athletes as clients including world champions.
